Canadian passport photos consistently remain one of the most difficult things to get done for Canadians who live in the United States. If you’re renewing or applying for your Canadian passport, even the smallest of facial expressions, lighting issues, or angle slights will result in a rejection of your application, a delay in your travel, and an added cost for the resubmission into Passport Canada’s Canadian offices. One of the things we hear regularly from our customers is getting photos done by willing commercial photographers – like M&R Foto in East Rutherford, New Jersey, can be very difficult. Major chains like Costco and Sears locations will vary from store to store on their willingness to do them. Unfortunately, Canadian passport photos have a reputation for being difficult to produce.
We’ve decided to compile a list of knowledgeable commercial photographers throughout the United States who are also willing to provide electronic versions of your Canadian passport photos for submission into Canada Passport Help for assessment, which is a part of our service. Some of our customers have been 3-4 attempts in with rejection after rejection as a result of their photos not complying with Passport Canada’s guidelines for submission – you don’t have to be one of them. Our list of commercial photographers will be a work in progress over the next few months, and the list will be expanding regularly. With that said, if you are a commercial photographer based in the U.S., and shoot Canadian passport photos, please email us at info AT canadapassporthelp DOT ca with your web site link for inclusion in our help section.
